A Glimpse That Started It All – From Seville to Mallorca
Some people meet through friends, others through dating apps. But Laura and Dimitriy’s meeting felt like it was written by fate. It was one of those rare, real-life movie moments – a glance that sparked a lifelong connection. In Seville, while surrounded by tourists, locals, and the buzz of Spanish culture, they locked eyes and everything else disappeared.
Dimitriy knew he had to say something. That decision to walk over and introduce himself changed their lives. They spent hours talking, losing track of time. And in the months and years that followed, their love deepened as they traveled, laughed, supported one another, and eventually settled into life together on the island of Mallorca.
This photoshoot was a celebration of that love. A way to pause and honor the journey they’ve taken – and the home they’ve built together on this breathtaking island.
As a couples and love story photographer based in Valencia, I specialize in capturing genuine emotion, effortless connection, and timeless moments. This Mallorca couples photoshoot was a visual story told through cobblestone streets, wild olive groves, Mediterranean views, and golden light. We explored three breathtaking locations – Valldemossa, Deià, and Son Marroig – each adding a unique chapter to their story.
Valldemossa – A Village Full of Romance and Charm
Our day began in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains, in the charming village of Valldemossa. Known for its historic stone buildings, quiet alleys, and blooming window boxes, Valldemossa is often considered one of the most beautiful villages in all of Spain. It is no surprise that it attracts artists, poets, and lovers from all over the world.
The village was still quiet when we arrived, the sun casting a soft morning glow over the rooftops. Laura and Dimitriy wandered hand-in-hand down narrow alleys, pausing to embrace under arched doorways and to laugh as they snuck kisses beside ancient wooden doors. The warm tones of the stone walls and the romantic light created the perfect setting to capture their connection. It was effortless. They were completely in tune with each other, and every moment was filled with affection.
As a photographer who focuses on destination love stories, I always recommend Valldemossa for couples looking for a location that blends intimacy, history, and that timeless Mediterranean aesthetic. It offers the kind of scenery that feels like stepping into a different time, and it adds a poetic depth to every frame.
A Quiet Coffee Break at Es Petit Hotel de Valldemossa
One of my favorite moments from the shoot was our stop at Es Petit Hotel de Valldemossa. This hidden gem of a hotel sits quietly at the edge of the village and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valley. On its sunlit terrace, we paused for a coffee break. Laura and Dimitriy sat together at a small table, wrapped in each other’s presence as if the world around them had faded away.
There was something so tender about the way they held their cups, whispered between sips, and shared smiles with no words. These small, seemingly mundane moments often end up being the most powerful images – because they are real. They capture what love looks like in the everyday.
As a Mallorca couples photographer, I love weaving these lifestyle moments into a shoot. They offer a gentle, documentary style that brings authenticity to a love story session. And Es Petit Hotel provided the perfect backdrop: rustic, relaxed, and surrounded by beauty.
Son Marroig – Olive Groves, Garden Paths, and Cliffside Dreams
From Valldemossa, we headed to our next location – the breathtaking estate of Son Marroig. Once owned by Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, Son Marroig is known for its dramatic cliffside views, classical marble rotunda, and lush surrounding gardens filled with olive trees and Mediterranean flora.
We started by exploring the garden paths and olive groves. Laura and Dimitriy danced barefoot under the trees, their laughter echoing through the leaves. These moments of movement and spontaneity were full of energy and emotion, allowing us to capture images that felt entirely their own. There was a joyful lightness in the way they moved together, as if no one else existed.
As the afternoon turned to evening, we made our way to the cliffs. The golden hour cast a warm glow on the sea below, and the wind lifted Laura’s hair as they embraced in silence. These quiet, powerful moments spoke volumes. There was no need for words or posing – their connection radiated naturally, framed by the epic backdrop of the Mediterranean.
Son Marroig offers so much variety for a love story session – from soft, romantic garden moments to breathtaking panoramic views – and remains one of my favorite spots to photograph couples in Mallorca.
Wandering Through Deià – A Place for Dreamers
To wrap up the day, we visited the serene village of Deià. Perched on a hillside between mountains and sea, Deià is known for its tranquil charm, artistic heritage, and earthy elegance. It’s a place that feels almost untouched by time, and for Laura and Dimitriy, it was the perfect location to slow down and savor the last light of the day.
They strolled through narrow stone paths, hand in hand, occasionally stopping for quiet conversation or spontaneous dances in the warm evening breeze. Every gesture was soft and intimate. It felt like we had stepped into a page from their personal story – a chapter filled with reflection, tenderness, and gratitude.
Deià was peaceful, soulful, and perfectly suited for those last few portraits of the day. The colors of the stone, the fading light, and the couple’s undeniable connection all came together in a poetic way.
